Amy has been part of the local music and theatre scene for more years than she cares to remember.

 As a child, she discovered her passion for music and theatre in choirs and youth theatres, which gave her an excellent grounding in music and theatre practice. She progressed to study singing theory and technique with Pamela Davies and went on to take multiple leading roles in musical theatre shows, including Calamity Jane, Anything Goes, Sweet Charity, Me and My Girl, Scarlet Pimpernel, Hello Dolly & Half a Sixpence. 

Amy is a qualified dance teacher and choreographer and first met Anya in 2011 in a production of Carousel. The two became firm friends and later worked together on a production of Witches of Eastwick, when they took to the skies as two of the show’s leading ladies. 

Amy went on to join Anya’s musical theatre group Crescendo, singing in theatres and other venues around the Midlands.  Amy loves all things music and theatre and has worked as a character actress at Warwick Castle.

These days, when she is not managing the social calendars of her children, runs her own dance and music business offering dance services and vintage vocals to clients across the West Midlands and Warwickshire region. Amy has followed the Pop Voices journey since its inception, supporting Anya with one of the very first workshops in 2012 and occasionally covering some of the classes on Anya’s behalf. She is now thrilled to be taking the helm at our daytime class based in Knowle.
