General

Pop Voices runs for a minimum of 36 weeks across 3 terms throughout the year. We do not run in school holidays (including half-term holidays) We also offer optional opportunities to perform on additional dates.

Free Trial Session

We are pleased to offer all potential members of Pop Voices a free trial session. The cost of this session is deducted from your first term’s payment.

Payment (Adult/Youth)

Payment can be made in full or in 3 instalments at the start of each term. Our current fee structure is available from your choir leader. You can pay by the following methods: 

• Bank Transfer
• Cheque payable to Pop Voices Ltd
• Cash will only be accepted in a sealed envelope with your name, class attending and amount written on the front

Concessionary Membership

We offer a concessionary rate for anyone who needs it. Please speak to your choir leader.

Family Discount

If you have two or more immediate family members (parents, partner/spouse or children/siblings) in any Pop Voices or Pop Voices Youth classes, a 10% discount will be applied to your overall subscription total.

New Members Starting After Start of Term

If joining after the start of a term then we offer a pro rata payment.
(This only applies to a new member’s first term).
There are no refunds for missed classes after this point.
Please contact us to get the applicable cost.

Cancellation of Membership

If you take the decision to cancel membership before the end of term, no refunds will be given. If you cancel membership, but have an outstanding balance for the term, you will be billed for the remaining payment. Standing order payments must be cancelled.

What does Membership include?

• Flexible attendance at your class or any class in a timetabled week at no additional cost.

• A pop voices session with short scheduled break includes: vocal warm ups, a varied repertoire of songs, instruction in vocal technique and harmony singing.

• Adult classes receive access to the Pop Voices website members’ area which includes downloadable recordings/lyrics and video tutorials.

• Members over the age of 13 can join the Pop Voices group members page on Facebook.

• Exceptional performance opportunities locally, nationally and internationally

What doesn’t my subscription include?

• Members wishing to participate in Pop Voices performances will need to purchase a T-shirt priced at £15 for adults and £10 for children.#

• Pop Voices is striving to be a paperless environment therefore our resources are available to members in a digital format. We ask members to be responsible for their own printing. However, a lyric pack can be provided for those who do not have access to printing.

• Members who would like recordings put onto CD need to provide the Choir Director with a blank CD-R at the start of each term.

Cancelled or Changed Classes

• If your usual class falls on a Bank Holiday date then you are entitled to attend any other class free of charge at your convenience.

• If classes are cancelled due to illness or acts of God (extreme weather, etc) then Pop Voices will endeavour to provide alternative rehearsal time over the next two terms.
No refunds will be given in any of the above circumstances.

• At least once per year Pop Voices may bring choirs together to sing (Choir Collective) and these events may replace your normal scheduled weekly rehearsal at an alternative venue. All members will be invited to attend the Choir Collective. If the Choir Collective clashes with your usual class time, you are entitled to attend any other class free of charge at your convenience. Choir Collective days of the week will vary so as not to impact the same classes.

Code of Conduct

Pop Voices aims to create a positive and safe environment for all its members. In order to uphold this, we will treat each other with respect and courtesy to ensure an enjoyable experience for all. 

Any form of negative or inappropriate behaviour towards others, including members and staff, both written, verbally, or online during rehearsals or performances, could lead to a cancellation of membership.
